A variety of new vendors have been coming to the Hanover market in recent months, and here are some of the new delights you can find there.
Holistic atmosphere
Holistic Vibes, located near the south entrance, serves a variety of vegan dishes. Owner Brandon Cantin is clearly passionate about what he believes to be “a growing food supply problem in America.” He strives not only to make quality vegan food more accessible, but also to educate people about the value and benefits of the food they eat.
“I started a business selling foods that are good for you and make you feel good,” he said. Cantin noted that people come into his store constantly describing themselves as having different food sensitivities, and Brandon always has natural solutions available in store.

“We cater for allergies, so if you’re allergic to cane sugar, soy, gluten, dairy, eggs or peanuts, we don’t use any of them,” he says. “If you can’t find a food in Hanover, you can find it here.”
At Hanover Market, people can buy lunch for their company or the whole family and choose from a variety of vendors, he said. “When you go to Hanover Market, you get much higher quality Hanover area food from about 15 vendors. That’s the information people need to know.”
“This market is great because a lot of the sellers become like family once they move in,” he says. “Almost everyone is connected.”

Craft Eats
Craft Eats, located in the center aisle (just off the food court), serves homemade corned beef and roasted turkey. John and Ingrid Schmidt, the owners, explain their mission: “We chose to do handcrafted sandwiches because we thought we could be innovative and do something different.” In doing so, they want to gift their customers a piece of their family roots. Some recipes, like the corned beef, have been passed down from family members.
Expressing his appreciation for the other vendors, John Schmidt says, “Some people might look at us and say we’re all competing, but we’re actually shareholders in a larger picture, which is the marketplace.” He looks at his wife and laughs at the words, “The more we work together, the more successful the marketplace will be.” [thrive].”
“The reason we encourage people to try Craft Eats is because we offer local, handcrafted food with great service and we’re trying to build relationships within the market. We don’t just offer sandwiches,” he said. “We’re trying to bring great food to Hanover as well as great value.”
The menu offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. John credits his wife, Ingrid, with helping him discover that Craft Eats is a women-owned business.

Fruit Ninja
This acai and smoothie shop is located at the south exit and is run by husband and wife team Kate and Andrew Trostl. They specialize in quality and authenticity, and Kate Trostl says, “We believe everyone should and deserves to eat healthy.” [in a way that they can] “I can’t afford it. I enjoy doing this. I enjoy making things for other people.”
Not only does she care about her customers, but she also cares about the quality of the fruit she produces, which she says her customers are “very particular about fruit.” [they] When it comes to the ingredients that go into the bowls and smoothies, Kate and her husband have “tried a lot of different things, [they] We found the perfect combination of flavor and creaminess.”

Kusinan Pinoy
Specializing in Filipino cuisine, owners Jintara and Jenn Jap have opened Kusinang Pinoy, which means “Filipino food” in their language. At their shop, located at the south entrance, Jintara Jap explains that running her own shop in Hanover Market means being part of “a big community of friendship.” “It’s very exciting. We help each other and share,” which seems to be a common theme among the merchants in the building.
Kusinang Pinoy serves a traditional style menu of home-cooked meals as well as fun Asian snacks and drinks.
For those who have yet to taste Kusinang Pinoy, Ginatra has a simple message: “Just give it a try.”
