
Ganderbal The Institute Innovation Cell (IIC) of Government Degree College, Ganderbal in collaboration with the Innovation Cell, Ministry of Education, AICTE and IIC, Ministry of Human Resource Development, organised an impactful talk to inspire entrepreneurial spirit among college graduates on Saturday.
Addressing the gathering, the University President, Professor Fozia Fatima commended the University’s Innovation Department for organizing such an important event. In her address, she called on students to understand that innovation is the need of the hour and the reality of the future.
Dr. Sameera Shirazi, Head of Zoology and IIC Coordinator, delivered the welcome address and highlighted the main objective of the programme to promote innovative thinking among students and entrepreneurship/start-up culture on campus.
On this occasion, the first expert speaker, Dr. Farzana Gulzar, Associate Professor, Faculty of Business, University of Kashmir, delivered a highly interactive and engaging talk. She skillfully engaged the audience in various activities that challenged them to think outside the box.
The second expert, Dr. Fayaz Ahmed Ganaye, a reputed and well-known entrepreneur, shared insights into his journey from being a job seeker to becoming the owner of a company with a turnover of $20 million. He taught the students how to shape their ideas into reality.
Dr. Tahira Naqvi, Assistant Professor, Department of Chemistry, moderated the program. Dr. Mansha Nisar, Assistant Professor, Department of Environmental Science, delivered the formal vote of thanks. Dr. Sheikh Shubina and Prof. Mansoor Ahmed were the rapporteurs of the program.
The event was attended by deans and faculty from various faculties, as well as a large number of students who listened to the speeches of renowned speakers with great interest and engaged in lively exchanges afterwards.
