Wenatchee is listed as one of the top 10 travel destinations for the Fourth of July weekend.
The designation comes from Airbnb, which also includes other small cities across the country on its list, including nearby Cle Elum.

A source offering online homestays across the country said the towns on the list are known for their beautiful landscapes and popular Independence Day celebrations.
The highlight of Wenatchee’s Independence Day celebrations is the city-hosted fireworks display at Walla Walla Point Park.
Link Transit will be running a shuttle from the JCPenney parking lot at Valley North Shopping Center to the fireworks site.
The city will partner with Elevated Marketing for this year’s Independence Day celebration.
The celebration begins in the afternoon with live music and gourmet food.
Local songstress Kayla Taylor will sing the national anthem.
Fireworks are scheduled for 10:15 p.m.
Airbnb says the long summer holidays are the perfect time for families to explore the country together.
According to the company, 87% of Airbnb users say location is the most important consideration when booking a family trip.
According to Airbnb, the top 10 popular destinations for Independence Day weekend are:

- Saratoga Springs, New York
- Marshfield, Massachusetts
- Leadville, Colorado
- Bangor, Maine
- Lancaster, California
- Cle Elum, Washington
- Wenatchee, Washington
- Sanibel, FL: Sanibel Island, FL
- Fort Myers Beach, Florida
The rental service also lists the “most wish-listed homes in every state in the U.S.” In Washington, that home is Index’s Tree Frame Cabin treehouse, located along U.S. Highway 2 in the lower west Cascade Mountains.
