Last week, amid a spate of videos of cars floating in rainwater in various parts of Delhi’s national capital, a video of a Rolls-Royce Ghost stuck in a waterlogged area sparked laughter online.
The video begins with a luxury car stuck on a flooded road with its turn signals flashing, before the camera cuts to people pushing scooters out of the flooded area.
User X shared the video and wrote, “This is why I’ll never buy a Rolls Royce.”

An early 90s 800 pulling a V8 Jaguar,” commented an X user. Another user wrote, “Rolls Royce Khalid, but not Delhi… (Buy a Rolls Royce but not in Delhi).”
“Abu to the tractor Hello Lena Padega “(Only tractors are of use now),” responded a third X user. “After seeing the water levels on Delhi roads, I cancelled my Lamborghini Revuelto booking,” said another.
The Indian capital was hit by heavy rains on June 28 after part of the roof of Indira Gandhi International Airport’s Terminal 1 collapsed, causing a car to fall and killing a taxi driver. According to the India Meteorological Department, 228.1 mm of rain was recorded at Safdarjung station in the past 24 hours, with 148.5 mm recorded between 2:30 am and 5:30 am on the same day.
