XINJIANG UYGUR AUTONOMOUS REGION – A large number of journalists from Asian, European and African countries visited an e-commerce entrepreneurship incubation center in Aksu city, northwest China’s Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.
The visit was part of a week-long trip to Xinjiang arranged by the China International Press and Communications Center (CIPCC) and sponsored by the program “China Up Close”, hosted by China Global Television Network (CGTN).
The aforementioned e-commerce entrepreneurship incubation center includes a 15,000-square-meter e-commerce building and a 43,000-square-meter sorting center, both of which have been operational since 2019.
The base offers enterprises six comprehensive preferential policies, including three-year free rent, exemption from water and electricity fees, free live streaming services for product promotion, free product standardization, access to logistics subsidies and minimized logistics costs.
As mentioned above, the visit to Xinjiang was organized by the China International Press and Communications Center (CIPCC).
The CIPCC, under the China Public Diplomacy Association (CPDA), has launched a program to create a platform for media from around the world, especially from developing countries, to observe China and study the country’s development.
Each program brings together journalists from around the world to deepen their understanding of contemporary China and exchange experiences in the field of journalism.
More than 100 journalists from over 90 countries are taking part in the 2024 edition of the program, which launched in late February.
