F&O Ban List: The National Stock Exchange (NSE) has banned trading in five stocks in its Futures and Options (F&O) segment effective Thursday, June 27, 2024, as they have crossed 95% of the Market Wide Position Limit (MWPL).

However, these shares can be traded in the spot market.

NSE updates the list of securities subject to F&O trading ban on a daily basis.

Today’s F&O Ban List

GNFC, India Cements, Indus Towers, PNB and SAIL are the five stocks on the NSE’s June 27 F&O banned list.

The National Stock Exchange (NSE) said derivative contracts on the above securities exceeded 95 per cent of the market-wide position limit and were placed within the stock exchange’s prohibition period.

“All clients/members shall trade derivative contracts in such securities only with a view to reducing their positions through offsetting positions. Any increase in open positions shall be subject to appropriate criminal and disciplinary action,” an NSE statement said.

If a stock exchange has entered into an F&O agreement on a particular stock during the F&O ban period, no fresh positions will be allowed.

(Reuters) – Equity market benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty rose for the third consecutive trading day and closed at record highs on Wednesday, in line with buying in Asian peers and Reliance Industries.

The 30-stock BSE Sensex index rose 620.73 points or 0.80 percent to close at a fresh record high of 78,674.25 and rose 705.88 points or 0.90 percent intraday to hit a fresh all-time high of 78,759.40.

The Nifty rose 147.50 points or 0.62 percent to close at an all-time high of 23,868.80 and surged 168.6 points or 0.71 percent intraday to hit an all-time high of 23,889.90.

In the broader market, the BSE smallcap index rose 0.15 per cent while the midcap index fell 0.29 per cent.
