Kverneland Group and Dimensions Agri Technologies (DAT) are collaborating to introduce precision spraying systems to select European markets, including Norway, Germany and the Netherlands.
The partnership will see the integration of DAT Ecopatch systems with Kverneland sprayers to optimise herbicide use and improve crop yields.
The DAT EcoPatch system uses AI-driven sensor technology to precisely apply herbicides during the crop’s growing season (green-on-green). “This collaboration will make the DAT EcoPatch solution available to more farmers, helping them to address both economic and environmental pressures,” said Kristian Kaurstad Morten, CEO of DAT.
Important information for farmers:
- Fee: The final price to farmers is around 60,000 euros (approximately 65,000 US dollars).
- Surgery: It uses AI and sensors to precisely spray herbicides.
- availability: The company currently has offices in Norway, Germany and the Netherlands, with plans to expand across Europe in the future.
- Relevance: It reduces herbicide use by 50%, lowering production costs and increasing yields.
Seamless integration with Kverneland sprayers
“We’ve seamlessly integrated DAT Ecopatch with Kverneland sprayers, allowing our customers to enjoy the benefits of advanced spray technology,” said Dirk-Jan Stapel, director of marketing and sales at Kverneland.
The partnership also includes joint marketing activities such as trade shows and field days, as well as plans to extend the technology to other crop types. DAT Ecopatch systems will be supported through DAT’s international network, while Kverneland’s sprayers will continue to be supported by the company’s dealer network.
