European markets open lower
European stocks opened lower on Tuesday following a deterioration in US market sentiment earlier in the week.
The Stoxx 600 Index was down 0.32% at the open, with performance mixed across sectors and major bourses: Technology stocks were down 1.53%, while oil and gas stocks rose 0.99%.
Britain’s FTSE index rose 0.1% to 8,290, Germany’s DAX fell 1% to 18,146, France’s CAC 40 fell 0.55% to 7,663 and Italy’s FTSE MIB fell 0.15% to 33,788.

Pool Corp. drops 11% after guidance cut
Poole Corporation shares fell 11 percent after the company revised its full-year profit outlook.
The pool equipment wholesaler now expects full-year earnings per share to be in the range of $11.04 to $11.44, compared with a previous forecast of $13.19 to $14.19 and below FactSet’s estimate of $13.05.
The company now expects second-quarter earnings per share of $4.85 to $4.95, compared with FactSet’s forecast of $5.83.
The company also said its sales were trending down 6.5% year-over-year.

Stock futures little changed
Stock futures opened little changed on Monday evening. Futures tracking the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 25 points, while S&P 500 futures were little changed. Futures tracking the Nasdaq 100 rose 0.07%.
