Seattle-based Pacific Northwest Family Business Institute
Seattle University’s Family Business Exchange (FBX) is a community of Pacific Northwest family business owners that brings together for tailored education, networking, and professional development.
FBX provides an opportunity for families to address their individual challenges through appropriate programming. It serves as a forum for the exchange of information aimed at helping each member thrive through future generations. Best practice areas we cover include family business succession planning, governance, and leadership development and growth.
FBX is powered by Seattle University’s acclaimed Innovation & Entrepreneurship Center (IEC), housed within the Albers College of Business and Economics, and engages hundreds of students, alumni, volunteers and local businesses to accelerate entrepreneurship for the public good.
IEC Executive Director Peter Rowan previously led the Pacific Asian Center for Entrepreneurship (PACE) at the Shidler College of Business at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. PACE operates the Hawaii Family Business Center, which was established in 1995 to support, educate and celebrate Hawaii’s business families. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience running the center to FBX.
