Sasin Graduate School of Management hosted a press conference to introduce the Sasin Impact Entrepreneurship Week, which features the GCEC Bangkok Summit, a major entrepreneurship competition and more.

Sasin School of Management held the launch press conference for the Sasin Impact Entrepreneurship Week 2024 (Sasin IEW), hosting the GCEC New Frontier: Bangkok Summit 2024 as well as two competitions: the Bangkok Business Challenge (BBC) and the Family Enterprise Case Competition – Asia Pacific 2024 (FECC-AP).
The press conference kicked off with visionary talks from four experts, a preview of two world-class business competitions, and the debut of GCEC, which will take place from 19-23 June 2024. Dibyendu BoseSasin’s Deputy Director of Strategy, Innovation and Impact gave the opening remarks at the press conference. “Sasin IEW is a gathering of entrepreneurs, investors, academics, policymakers and ordinary citizens who want to drive innovation and positive change for a sustainable future for all,” he said.
Lars Svensson“Sasin IEW aims to foster multilateral discussion and dialogue on the ‘Impact of Promoting Inclusive Entrepreneurship’ and this is the first time we are bringing together three related events under one umbrella of sustainability and entrepreneurship,” added the CEO of Sasin Sustainability & Entrepreneurship Centre.
Sasin IEW will host Asia’s first-ever Global Consortium of Entrepreneurship Centers (GCEC) conference, “New Frontier: Bangkok Summit 2024,” under the overall theme of “Inclusive Entrepreneurship Driving Impact,” as well as Sasin’s long-running impactful entrepreneurship competition.
Bangkok Business Challenge 2024 (BBC 2024)is a global student startup competition organized by Sasin and is the longest running business competition in Asia.
Family Enterprise Case Competition – Asia Pacific 2024 (FECC-AP 2024)The aim is to unearth a group of students with sharp and incisive analysis of local family business cases and advance them to the global competition and final round to be held in Vermont, USA.
GCEC New Frontier: Bangkok Summit 2024 will also feature three forums throughout the week.
Fostering an inclusive entrepreneurial ecosystem for impact: A path to success – The forum will discuss partnership strategies and innovation in the startup ecosystem in Thailand and the region. Panelists include representatives from university-based entrepreneurship centers (KMUTT, Chiang Mai University, Chulalongkorn University), Social Enterprise Thailand, National Innovation Agency (NIA), and Aspen Network for Development Entrepreneurs (ANDE).
The road to startup success: Insights from investors and backers for impact entrepreneurs – The forum will address challenges and innovative fundraising approaches in the entrepreneurial environment. Participants will interact with investors and learn from panelists including agritech experts, business coaches, angel investors, and representatives from the Thailand Startup Association, Yunus Center AIT, and Digital Economy Promotion Agency (DEPA).
Redefining the value of impact entrepreneurship through Sufficiency Economy Philosophy (SEP) – The forum will explore how SEPs foster balanced and inclusive growth and how it benefits startups and entrepreneurs. Moderated by Vasu Srivibha, Chief Impact Officer, Sasin, the discussion will feature Sukich Udindu, founding CEO of SEAMEO SEPS, and Steve Young, Honorary Co-Chair, Sasin Centre for Sustainability & Entrepreneurship.
