Stock Market Live Friday, June 14, 2024: Indian equities opened flat on Friday, tracking the global decline. GIFT Nifty futures also turned flat to positive and were trading at 23,421 levels, 22 points higher than Nifty50 futures.
Asia Pacific markets remained largely in the downtrend ahead of the Bank of Japan’s interest rate cut decision scheduled for today.
In Asian markets, Japan’s Nikkei Stock Average rose 0.31%, while the Topix was flat with a slight decline of 0.03%.
South Korea’s KOSPI edged down 0.1%, while the KOSDAQ index of small-cap stocks lost 0.91%.
However, Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 fell 0.37%, while Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index futures fell 0.47%.
Overnight on Wall Street, S&P 500 futures and the Nasdaq 100 rose 0.23% and 0.34%, respectively, hitting record highs for a fourth consecutive day.
However, Dow Jones Industrial Average futures fell slightly, down 0.17%.

license: The company increased its shareholding in Dr Reddy’s Laboratories from 4.95% to 5.01%.
Vodafone Idea: The board has approved raising Rs 2,458 crore through issue of preference shares. The capital infusion is aimed at alleviating part of the company’s debt burden, strengthening its 4G network expansion and beginning the rollout of 5G services.
Puravankara: The board has given preliminary approval to raise up to Rs 1,000 crore through qualified institutional offer (QIP).
