JAKARTA – Anang Hermansyah became a trending topic on social media X after performing a song after the 2026 World Cup qualifier match between Indonesia and the Philippines at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium in Central Jakarta on Tuesday night (June 11).
Anang Hermansyah performed alongside four other singers: Ashanti, Adriati Hasan H. Indikurnia, Shahrir Harsani and Carmen Gloria Valentin Wanta.
As has become customary after recent Indonesian national team matches, players and coaching staff will gather in the center of the field to sing “Tana Aik” with the crowd.
But the night was transformed by the presence of Anangu and Ashanti, who appeared on the sidelines of the field while the players and coaches were already in the middle of the field and performed the song “Kebiyar Kebyar.”
Not ending there, the couple continued their performance by performing a Waruna song titled “Ring this”.
Annan and Ashanti’s performance was apparently not enough for the tens of thousands of Indonesians in attendance, and they were forced to stop after the crowd cheered them on in a number of videos that went viral on social media site X.
The audience loves to sing the song “Tanah Airku” along with the coaches and staff.
Netizens were busy commenting on Anang Hermansyah’s participation in the match, many of whom were unhappy because the national team’s post-match customs had been changed by the organizers’ decision to introduce Anang Hermansyah and other singers before they left the stadium.
