Everton are reportedly ‘in contact’ with Chelsea over the signing of striker Armando Broja, who is set to leave Stamford Bridge on a permanent move.
The London club are looking to sell some home-grown players this summer to balance their finances and are keen to rope in academy graduate Broja It’s not part of Enzo Maresca’s plans.
Everton were keen to sign the Albania international during Frank Lampard’s tenure as manager and have rekindled their interest amid uncertainty over Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s future.
Newcastle and, ironically, Chelsea are rumoured to be in the running to sign the Everton No.9. If he is sold in the coming weeks, a replacement will undoubtedly be needed.
According to the transfer journalist Ben Jacobs Everton They are seriously interested in signing Broja, but it would not be a cheap transfer fee.
“Everton are pursuing the signing of Armando Broja and the club are in daily contact with Chelsea over a £30 million transfer fee. Jacobs posted on X.
“The ToffeesWe hope for a quick breakthrough.”

Broja has fallen down the pecking order at Chelsea and admitted he was disappointed with the way he was treated by former Blues manager Mauricio Pochettino.
The 22-year-old was thought to have great potential but has struggled to impress, failing to score in eight appearances under Marco Silva since joining Fulham on loan in January.
Speaking to TEAMtalk’s transfer correspondent Fraser Gillan, a source confirmed that Everton are “pushing forward” to complete a deal as soon as possible.
Everton must sell before they buy
As we have consistently reported, Everton are likely to have to make at least one big sale before they can approve any big signings.
Jacobs claims that negotiations are underway for a £30m deal for Broja, but as things stand this figure is well outside Everton’s range of offers, so it appears the club are already preparing a big sale.
Centre-back Jarrad Branthwaite remains one of Manchester United’s top targets. Reports suggest that a fee of £75 million could be enough to lure him away from Goodison Park.
The 21-year-old is a key reason why Everton have the fourth-best defence in the Premier League statistically and it would be a huge loss for Sean Dyche if he were to leave the team.
The 22-year-old midfielder Amadou Onana He has also been linked with some of Europe’s biggest clubs, with Arsenal, for example, thought to be keen on him.
Branthwaite and Onana are considered two of Everton’s most saleable assets, so it seems likely one of them will have to leave before Broja can be signed.
As mentioned above, the Chelsea signing is a player with great potential and, on paper, his speed, power and height (6ft 3ins) make him a perfect fit for Everton manager Dyche’s system.

However, he has been plagued by injuries throughout his short career and signing him for £30 million seems like a risk for financially strapped Everton.
We know Broja has some fans behind the scenes at Goodison Park so it will be interesting to see how this story develops in the future.
