Manchester United have been given the green light to sign Sevilla forward Youssef En-Nesyri this summer, according to reports.
One of United’s priorities during last summer’s transfer window was to sign one or two new strikers to fill the gap left by Cristiano Ronaldo.
Head Coach Erik Ten Hag The club were keen to sign Harry Kane from Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur but were unable to complete the deal as he moved to Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich instead.
Kane’s transfer is unlikely, Red Devils They switched their focus to signing Rasmus Hojlund from Atalanta, paying an initial fee of around £64 million to acquire the young forward from the Serie A side.
United’s lack of options in attacking areas forced ten Hag to rely too heavily on Hojlund in his debut season, and the 21-year-old has had a stellar start to the new year, scoring 16 goals in 43 appearances in the 2023/24 season.
Hojlund has great potential and should ultimately thrive at Manchester United, but they need competition in the striker department and are set to sign a new forward this summer.
Frenchman Anthony Martial is due to leave Manchester United at the end of this month when his contract expires, meaning a new player will likely take his place.
Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing 27-year-old Moroccan international En-Nesyri.
