BEIJING, June 8 (Xinhua) — In 2006, entrepreneurial team leader Yang Jian worked closely with a research team from the Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, to establish Tankeblue Semiconductor Co., Ltd., which is now a leader in China in the research, development, production and sales of third-generation semiconductor SiC (silicon carbide) substrates.
After 18 years of development, the company now owns seven core technology systems with independent intellectual property rights, covering the entire SiC integrated industrial chain, and has formed a large-scale business layout consisting of a research center, three wholly-owned subsidiaries, and a holding subsidiary.
Silicon carbide substrates are an ideal material for manufacturing semiconductor devices due to their high resistance to pressure and temperature.
Yang is currently the general manager of TankeBlue, and his company has become one of the world’s leading suppliers of SiC substrates.
Yang said research and development is the foundation of industrialization, and delivering high-quality products to customers is the ultimate goal.
