Steady delta winds are expected to keep temperatures dropping across Saramento through the weekend
It hasn’t been as hot as it has been the last few days. Yeah, totally. You know, we had direct sunlight today and it was pretty warm, especially in places like Roseville. I’ve heard Michelle talking about that the last few hours. Temperature wise, it officially went up to 92 degrees in Sacramento today. The forecast for Friday was for it to get a lot warmer, up to 9784 in Yuba City, but in Fairfield, thanks to the Delta Breeze, it went up to 95 in Stockton, and officially 94 in Placerville today, 93 in Auburn, and 84. What a beautiful day to be on the lake around Truckee and Tahoe. You can tell it’s really Friday on the river, right? Because there’s a lot more boat traffic than there is on the highway right now. Temperatures across Sacramento are in the low 80s Fahrenheit right now. We’ll have a steady south wind tonight that will bring temperatures down to the low 50s Fahrenheit around midnight. So it’s going to be great weather to sleep in tonight. Turn on a whole house fan or open all the windows to let in some breeze. Give your air conditioner a break this week. The Foothills forecast is right on. Colfax is getting plenty of sunshine and is still warm. Maybe we’ll have a backyard BBQ tonight. The temperature in Colfax is 84 degrees right now. It will drop to the upper 60s as we get closer to midnight. This is a view of Truckee. It was a very warm day today, but it’s still warm at 81 degrees, and by 11 tonight we’ll have a southwest wind and it will drop to the upper 50s. Tomorrow’s forecast will give us a slightly different look. We’ll have a little more clouds. When we wake up tomorrow morning, we’ll see not only low clouds coming in from the coast, but also high clouds coming in associated with the system to the north. So those clouds can dilute the sunshine during the day tomorrow. So if you’re doing anything outside, even camping in the mountains this weekend, you’ll be in great shape. Temperatures are staying ideal and we’re not expecting any showers or thunderstorms. Well, clouds are still spreading on Sunday morning. There will be occasional breezes coming in from the southwest Delta, so temperatures will remain manageable. As for the heat. Quincy’s forecast for Saturday will start off in the low 50s. It’ll be a nice day at Lake Almanor, with highs in the 90s and highs in Truckee. Lake Tahoe won’t be as warm tomorrow, but it’s still at a higher elevation. There’s plenty of sunshine here. 78 degrees will feel pretty warm. In Arnold, it’ll be in the mid 80s. If you plan on hiking around Yosemite, make sure you make a reservation for the park. Temperatures will warm up to 85 in Placerville and the mid 85s around Jackson and Plymouth. After a pleasant start to the morning in the coastal foothills, Fairfield will have a high of 80 and San Francisco will be 58. Fairfield, you’ll be concerned about the wind blowing all day tomorrow as it will be coming from the southwest. Highs of 88 in Stockton Manteca and 88 in Modesto. I expect there will be a lot of activity this weekend, but mornings will start in the low 60s and end in the low 80s. Weather forecast for Saturday is 89 in Woodrun, 87 in Folsom, and mid 80s around Davis and Dixon. Also, the Sierra forecast. Clouds spreading through the weekend, and in the 70s. Temperatures will continue to be pretty warm in the Valley. But 80s isn’t too bad considering this time of year. Temperatures will warm up next Monday and Tuesday, though.
