hairThe Anzas City business and entrepreneurial community is inviting session submissions for this fall’s Global Entrepreneurship Week – Kansas City, an interactive, community-driven educational experience hosted by KCSourceLink.

Veteran entrepreneur Carrie England, who serves as GEWKC Director and Marketing Director for KCSourceLink, spoke on the “Girls Just Want to Raise Funds” panel at GEWKC 2023. Photo by Tommy Felts for Startland News.

“Kansas City is gearing up to host an even more amazing Global Entrepreneurship Week in 2024,” said Carrie England, GEWKC director and marketing director for KCSourceLink, which has hosted GEWKC since 2008. “This dynamic event is a must-attend event for local business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs, giving them all the insight they need to start and grow their business or side hustle.”

“Thanks to the support of local sponsors, the conference will be open to the public,” she added.

The Basecamp event is scheduled to run from November 19-21, where attendees will find relevant content every hour of the day. Meeting and workspaces will also be available.

Presenters not selected for Basecamp will be able to host off-site community events during the longer period from November 18-24.

The location of the 2024 base camp has yet to be announced.

“GEWKC has played a vital role in helping entrepreneurs overcome business hurdles, make important connections, and learn a lot from local experts,” said Chanté Keller, GEWKC committee organizer and senior program and project coordinator at KCSourceLink. “Feedback from last year’s participants indicates that the sessions helped them overcome pain points big and small and make important connections to move their businesses forward.”

“We encourage you to submit session ideas for this educational conference designed for anyone involved in or interested in starting a business,” Keller added.

Global Entrepreneurship Week is an international celebration that for the past 17 years has inspired millions of people around the world to explore their entrepreneurial potential and connect with their local entrepreneurial ecosystems. Launched in Kansas City in 2008 by the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, the global event is now celebrated in over 170 countries. Kansas City hosts one of the largest and most active GEWs in the world.

All ideas are welcome: individual speakers/presenters, headliners, panels, workshops, happy hours, networking, site visits (open houses, coffee crawls), etc. Topics that are most likely to be selected will focus on providing additional knowledge or sharing skills to the community.

Popular and well-attended topics from past GEWKC events include:
