Brewers rookie left-hander Robert Gasser is experiencing tightness and soreness in his pitching elbow after his last start against the White Sox on Saturday and is seeking a second opinion, Pat Murphy reported via Todd Rosiak.
Manager Pat Murphy said in a pre-game session that Robert Gasser is currently experiencing “tightness and soreness” in his left elbow and is seeking a second opinion.
So, the Brewers starting pitchers are still going strong…

Gasser threw 77 pitches Saturday, allowing seven hits and three runs with three strikeouts. He’s averaging around 80 pitches per game this season. It’s unclear if the injury is related to the same bone spur in his elbow that sidelined him with Triple-A Nashville earlier this year.
On a positive note, Roszak also noted that pitchers Jakob Junis and Joe Ross are both on track to return from injury, with Junis heading to Nashville to begin a rehab assignment and Ross scheduled to work in the bullpen this weekend with an eye toward a mid-June return.
Now, there’s some good news for the Brewers.
— Jacob Junis is headed to Class AAA Nashville to begin a rehab assignment, and barring any setbacks, he won’t be far away.
— Joe Ross will pitch in the bullpen this weekend and is expected to return to the starting rotation in mid-June, including a rehab assignment.
