Ohio State University It was one of many high-profile programs that welcomed important official visitors to campus this weekend.

“Overall, it was a great weekend for me and my family,” Jackson told On3. “Spending time with coaches Day, Kelly and Loughlin was great, but the highlight of both trips so far has been spending time with the current players on campus.”
Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Oregon and Michigan were also ranked in Jackson’s top 12 in April. Jackson has already recorded an official visit to Athens and has another official visit scheduled for next weekend at Alabama. Those schools are considered favorites to win, but will likely be chasing the Buckeyes come June.
“The visit to Georgia was great. The visit to Ohio State was great. I can’t wait to visit Alabama. I want to go in there with no expectations and just soak up as much information as I can,” Jackson said.
Despite former running backs coach Tony Alford leaving Ohio State for Michigan, not much has changed for Jackson and the Buckeyes, thanks in part to a smooth transition from Loughlin, who had a relationship with Jackson during their time at Oregon.
“It didn’t change anything at all.” Jackson previously spoke about the impact Alford’s departure has had on his relationship with OSU.“Coach (Ryan) Day kept in contact with me until the running backs coach came in. Once he got in, Coach Locklin reached out and the next week I was talking to Coach Locklin.”
Jackson is targeted as a running back at Ohio State, ranked No. 73 overall and No. 4 at his position in the 2025 cycle. On3 Industry Rankingsa weighted average utilizing all four of the major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 5 player in the state of Ohio.
