The new Promoting Enterprise Futurium online community is a key feature of European SME Week (ESW), an initiative of the European Commission’s Directorate General for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs (DG GROW) and the European Innovation Council and Small and Medium Enterprise Executive Agency (EISMEA). ESW aims to encourage entrepreneurship and provide comprehensive support to existing and potential entrepreneurs, business organisations and business support providers at EU, national, regional and local level.

The launch of this new platform aims to drive innovation and collaboration, nurturing the SME community that is shaping Europe’s future and tackling the challenges of today,” said European Commissioners Igor Kalinic and André Meyer, who are leading the effort.
The motto of European SME Week – “Promoting enterprises every week, everywhere” – encapsulates the spirit of the initiative, which aims to build on the success of over 50 events held across Europe last year. ESW’s flagship event, the SME Meeting, is scheduled to take place this year in Budapest, Hungary, from 18 to 20 November 2024. The Meeting will be organised in cooperation with the Hungarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
