However, I am running for State Representative because incumbent Representative Michael Davis does not serve Jefferson City or his district. First, he does not live here and has never lived here. Instead, he uses his campaign treasurer’s home as his voter registration address while living in Jefferson City and his hometown of St. Louis. I am concerned that this type of political tampering will allow a Democrat to win this seat.
I am running because the residents of Belton and Raymore need a good, conservative and effective servant leader to represent them – someone who can get to work from day one. They need someone who can quickly navigate the halls of government and who understands the time in our country and the nature of the work that lies before us. I know who I work for – the people of Cass County. When my boss calls, I will answer.
Michael, on the other hand, has not responded, rarely comes to the area, and always declines invitations to visit. Most importantly, Michael Davis was silent and out of sight during most of our protests against the landfill, yet he was at the forefront in the photos bragging about his achievements in getting rid of the landfill.
Nothing epitomizes the “insider” more than a do-nothing politician who ignores his constituents and takes credit for victories he had nothing to do with. I intend to crush this type of politics once and for all.
In Jefferson City, Davis can be seen repeatedly pacing the Capitol’s third-floor hallways, fiddling with his cellphone while his colleagues do important work inside the Capitol.
Davis is detached, disinterested and unengaged. I have never seen anyone like this. I fear he has given Biden’s Democrats a real chance to gain a foothold in suburban Cass County, a close district that votes just under 55% Republican.
Because of Michael’s lies, inaction and inaction, this seat is in danger of being lost to the left or to a relatively unknown moderate Republican who is almost as dangerous and more likely to comply than fight.
Rather than lose his seat to an unknown, unproven moderate Republican or Democrat, he decided at the last minute to run for the position instead of pursuing other opportunities.
If elected, people can count on me to be a vocal conservative leader and a reliable vote on priorities like protecting life and children, gun rights, school choice and educational freedom. I will not shy away from fighting cronyism, lowering taxes, addressing spending issues and tackling those inside Jeff City.
It’s time for a change. It’s time to elect a true conservative fighter and a real winner with a proven track record of getting things done. Cass County doesn’t deserve anyone better. At the end of the day, this is about who will serve you best.
