Sebi moots relaxation in valuation norms for alternative investment fund
On Thursday, capital markets regulator Sebi proposed relaxations on the valuation framework for the investment portfolios of alternative investment funds (AIFs). These proposed changes pertain to the computation of portfolio valuations, adjustments to valuation methodology in the event of ‘material changes,’ the eligibility criteria for independent valuers appointed by AIFs, and the timeline for AIFs to report portfolio valuations to performance benchmarking agencies, as detailed in Sebi’s consultation paper.

This compares to a net profit of Rs 158.5 crore in the same quarter last year, according to a company statement. The company’s total income for the fourth quarter fell by about 18%, dropping to Rs 821.1 crore from Rs 1,003.2 crore in the corresponding period the previous year.
