Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito may have been caught not once but twice flying two different flags outside his home that represent exactly how he feels about the country. New Anomalies Co-organizers Andy Levy and Daniel Moody I don’t believe anger leads to substantive change.
Reported by The New York Times News reports this week showed an upside-down flag proudly displayed at Justice Alito’s Virginia home ahead of Joe Biden’s 2021 inauguration. Then, in 2023, a “Appeal to Heaven” flag was spotted flying at Justice Alito’s New Jersey vacation home. Though Justice Alito claimed he was unaware and that his wife was responsible, both flags have sparked concerns over the supposedly nonpartisan justice’s ties to the MAGA community and Christian nationalism.
“Again, nothing is going to happen,” Moody said sternly, with Levy agreeing.
Levy added that Chief Justice John Roberts and the other Supreme Court justices “could do something about this, but they won’t.”
