Top gainers included Madhav Marbles and Granite Ltd (up 4.31%), Lexus Granite (India) Ltd (up 2.90%), Sandur Manganese and Iron Ore Ltd (up 2.57%), Aro Granite Industries Ltd (up 2.03%), 20 Micron Ltd (up 1.56%), MOIL Ltd (up 1.42%), NMDC Ltd (up 1.34%), Coal India Ltd (up 0.93%) and Orissa Minerals Development Company Ltd (up 0.83%).
Among the top decliners were Pokarna Limited (down 0.93%), Ashapura MeinChem Limited (down 0.75%), KIOCL Limited (down 0.23%) and Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation Limited (down 0.09%).
Around 11:25 am, the NSE Nifty50 index was trading at 22,976.75, up 9.1 points, while the 30-stock BSE Sensex was trading at 75,443.24, up 25.2 points.
Adani Enterprises (up 1.77%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation (up 1.19%), UltraTech Cement (up 1.11%), HDFC Bank (up 1.02%), Bharti Airtel (up 0.99%), HDFC Life Insurance (up 0.96%), Coal India (up 0.86%), Larsen & Toubro (up 0.83%), Divis Laboratories (up 0.78%) and Tata Motors (up 0.72%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty index. On the other hand, Apollo Hospitals Enterprises (down 1.44%), Tata Consumer Products (down 1.34%), Shriram Finance (down 1.01%), Tata Consultancy Services (down 0.88%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries (down 0.67%), Bajaj Auto (down 0.64%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone (down 0.63%), ICICI Bank (down 0.61%), ITC (down 0.57%) and Mahindra & Mahindra (down 0.54%) were among the decliners.
