Texas could land one of the best wide receiver recruiting classes in history in 2025.
The Longhorns appear to be trending toward acquiring three five-star wide receivers for the 2025 cycle in Dacorien Moore, Jaime French, and Karik Lockett.
Moore is the No. 1 wide receiver in the country in his class, and although there were some recruiting predictions in favor of the Longhorns after he decommitted from Louisiana State University, he is expected to commit to the University of Texas in the coming months. Moore is the most likely of the three to enroll.
Inside Texas’ Justin Wells believes the Longhorns are near the top of the list for French and Lockett as well. Each is scheduled to make an official visit to Texas in June.
“I think all three of them want to be on the same team together. I think Texas has the lead with Jamie Ffrench right now, RPM is also on the table. [prediction] Later in the week. … I’m getting closer and closer to that. DaCorrien Moore has remained at the top of the list ever since. [receivers coach] Chris Jackson got the job. He was the No. 1 guy in 2025 for a while. And Karik Lockett contacted the staff a few days ago, and he seems to really like the idea of playing with his fellow five-star players. ” – Justin Wells
Texas currently has seven commitments in the 2025 class, ranking No. 23 nationally, according to 247Sports.
“All signs point to Texas being in great position to acquire all three of these guys.”
UT Insider @justinwells2424 I believe the Longhorns can sign multiple 5-star receivers in this class.
