For the second year in a row this offseason, Bengals franchise quarterback Joe Burrow’s hairstyle has been trending on social media. But it wasn’t for the same reasons as last year. On Monday night, the all-encompassing soccer social media site @_MLFootball tweeted a photo of No. 9 with long curly hair. Social media users immediately began comparing the photo to that of No. 9. Anakin Skywalker, played by Hayden Christensen from the early 2000s Star Wars films, has started trending on Platform X, formerly known as Twitter. Some users were quick to decipher that the images in circulation were likely photoshopped, but that didn’t stop them from spreading online. We are having a great time. When Burrow stepped onto the practice field Tuesday, he confirmed that while he’s ramping up his offseason work again, it won’t be as sweet as a Photoshop job.[/twitter]This isn’t Burrow’s first Star Wars involvement this offseason.
