MANHATTAN, IL — Manhattan is seeking young businesspeople who want to market their skills to a market focused on ambitious local children and teens.
Registration is now open for Manhattan’s third annual Young Entrepreneurs Market on Saturday, July 20th. His commitment to highlighting and supporting Manhattan’s young entrepreneurs continues to grow in his third year, once again bringing together and showcasing creative minds. Village Hall parking lot, 260 Market Place parking lot.

Sponsored by the Village of Manhattan and the Manhattan Chamber of Commerce, the market will be held rain or shine from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The market is a great place for individuals under the age of 17 to showcase their homemade goods, skills and showcase their talents.
The event aims to show attendees the tricks of business ownership, including engaging with chambers of commerce, pricing and selling products, and interacting with customers.
The market was the brainchild of director Justin Young.
“When I was elected two years ago, the mayor and I decided to try to organize more family-friendly events,” Young previously told Patch. “This is one of his ideas I came up with to make us more fun and more likable. To try to create an event where kids can interact with the village.”
A ribbon cutting will be held for all participants, and each participant will be given a business license and designated as an honorary chamber member.
“If you are a dynamic entrepreneur under the age of 17 who is full of innovative business ideas, talents and skills that you would like to share with the community, we encourage you to register at the Young Entrepreneur Market,” the organizers said. Ta. “This is an opportunity to gain valuable real-life experience by displaying and selling your products, goods and services. Everyone is invited to participate in this activity, whether they are a hobbyist or a well-established company.” “
Examples of products range from keychains, tie-dyed shirts, candles, and soaps to waterproof stickers, jewelry, stationery, art, collectibles, and even candy. On the other hand, the services offered may include gift wrapping, custom portraits, personalized signage, lawn mowing, and more.
Participation is free and registration deadline is July 12th.
