The Dallas Wilcox BAMA Club continues to set a high standard of excellence in Selma and Dallas County, and we are grateful for that.

On May 9, the Dallas Wilcox Club awarded 17 scholarships worth $45,000 to the Class of 2024. Students receiving scholarships include Anna Brech (Morgan Academy), Mariah Flenory (Southside), Shamir Foster (Southside) and Kadashia Hall (Dallas County). , Milton Hand (Morgan Academy), Chrishaun Hatcher (Selma), Marcus Jackson (Keith), Claire Johnson (Morgan Academy), Amira McCants (Wilcox Central), Margaret Minter (Morgan Academy), Kamaya Moore (Dallas County), Anne Frances Pierce (Morgan Academy), Alexis Perry (Selma), Demetria Tubb (Dallas County), Anne Hayes Utsey (Morgan Academy), Frank York (Selma).

Dallas Wilcox-Bama Club President Ronnie Leet said the Dallas Wilcox Club started in 1987 with an initial fund of $10,000 and now has a marketable endowment.

Over $1.1 million. We are impressed by the club’s longevity and how it has always given its seniors a bright future.

We are the Dallas Wilcox-Bama, consisting of Ronnie Leet, Ann Williamson, Buddy Perkins, James McNeil, Beau Boyd, Tom Grover Ile, Barbara Leet, and Laura Beth Boyd. -I applaud the club’s board of directors. The whole club deserves praise. We are looking forward to next year’s Dallas-Wilcox-Bama Club Banquet.
