Manama, May 15 (Petra) — Jordan is actively participating in the 5th World Entrepreneurial Investment Forum (WEIF) currently being held in Manama, Bahrain on the sidelines of the 33rd Arab Summit . Saudi Arabia is represented by the Jordan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCC) and the Jordan Enterprise Development Corporation (JEDCO).
The forum, themed “Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals through Strengthening Entrepreneurship and Innovation,” is hosted by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) Department for Investment and Technology Promotion. The event is organized in partnership with the Arab League, the Federation of Arab Chambers of Commerce, the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Arab Economic Development Bank, and various regional and international partners.
The Jordanian delegation included JCC Chairman Khalil Al Haj Toufik, Directors Nabil Al Khatib and Abdullah Al Adwan, and JEDCO Secretary General Abdul Fattah Al Qaid. ing.
Al Haj Toufik said the forum aims to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals by fostering innovation and stimulating economic growth, and emphasizes the importance of entrepreneurs as the main drivers of innovation.
