David McCash joined the investment industry and First National Wealth on May 17, 2024 after nearly 25 years as a certified financial advisor, including 17 years as owner of McCash Investment Management. announced his retirement from management.
Mr. McCash is a native of Iron Mountain and graduated from Iron Mountain High School. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and an Associate of Applied Science degree in Electromechanical Engineering Technology from Michigan Technological University in Houghton, Michigan.
After graduation, he worked for a major electrical contractor in Madison, Wisconsin, before moving to the Milwaukee area to become an applications engineer for Siemens Energy and Automation. With a desire to return home, David and his wife Kathy returned to the Upper Peninsula in 1996, where he ran McCash Investment Management Co., based in Mt.
“I joined First National Wealth Management with the intention of retiring in 2022, but I don’t know exactly when that will be,” McCash said. “Many of my clients who have already retired have said to me over the years, ‘You’ll know when the time comes,’ and the time has come. Since retiring, Mr. McCash has been spending more time with his wife, Kathy, and daughters, Greta and Madeline, on the water and at the family cabin, places where going is not possible while running a business and working full time. I look forward to traveling to new destinations.
