According to Google Trends, searches for “Morphe Makeup Talk” are up 2,750% and “Morphe Makeup Talk lip liner” is up 2,050%. This brand was last featured in our report in January 2024, when we thought the brand’s eye/lip liner was discontinued, likely sparking consumer concern (and FOMO panic). Ta.
There hasn’t been any obvious news about the brand this month, but a few days ago on Reddit a Morphe brand ambassador appeared on the Chicago Makeup Show and presented the product to the show’s hosts Tana Mongeau and Brooke Schofield. According to Google Trends, searches for “IBA Cosmetics” have increased by 250% in the past week. This may be related to Tracxn’s 5th place ranking of the brand in his May 6th report “Internet-First Beauty Brand Startups in Ahmedabad, India”. The vegan and halal brand also created a trending report for April 3, 2024, closely following the Holi festival on March 25.
The brand is currently featuring summer essentials such as IBA Invisible Sunscreen Serum, which is formulated with hyaluronic acid and vitamin C, SPF 50, and PA+++. Finally, this week, Spurt’s TikTok tracker identified cool-toned lip liner and peach powder as trending hashtags. Sources say #cooltonedlipliner is up 63,710,200% week over week and #peachsettingpowder is up 7,084,000%. Both trends seem to be spot on. Interestingly, peach makeup was also featured in Allure magazine in March as a trending color for spring.
