There were too. Celebrities like co-chairs Jennifer Lopez and Gabrielle Union showed off the sequins and sparkle trend on the 2024 Met Gala red carpet.

Jennifer Lopez totally glowed in her 2024 Met Gala look. The event co-chair wore a sheer, sparkling Schiaparelli dress inspired by butterflies tailored for the occasion. The “Marry Me” star completed her outfit with satin platform sandals, a gold clutch, a diamond necklace, and diamond earrings.

Gabrielle Union’s look incorporated sparkling ombre embellishments. The actress and author created a custom Michael Kors dress in shades of silver to aquamarine that featured a fish scale-like pattern running throughout the dress.
Rachel Zegler
Rachel Zegler brought Old Hollywood glamor to the 2024 Met Gala in a shimmering baby blue Dior dress with a dramatic shawl. A look inspired by Marilyn Monroe. Among her accessories, she created statement earrings.
Camila Cabello
Camila Cabello incorporated plenty of glitter into this Ludovic de Saint Sernin look. The sleeveless gown featured a high slit at the bodice and corset detailing. The singer carried a statement clutch and completed her look with her sandal heels.
Irina Shayk
Irina Shayk embodied the glitter trend at the 2024 Met Gala. Her model is adorned from head to toe with Swarovski crystals, and it took her over 200 hours to create. Shayk also layered her bangles and bracelets and wore a statement necklace and bold earrings to complete her glittery look.

The MET Gala raises funds for the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City and celebrates the Costume Institute’s annual exhibition. This year’s theme, “Garden of Time,” is a nod to the “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion” exhibition, which opens to the public on Friday. The 2024 event will be co-chaired by Zendaya, Jennifer Lopez, Bad Bunny, Chris Hemsworth, and Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour.
