Businessman PB Scott has been named the recipient of the 2023 Jamaica Awards Master Entrepreneur of the Year (EOY) award.
The announcement was made Saturday night at a ceremony at the Hyatt Zilara, where his wife Jen Scott accepted the award on his behalf.
EYC, the Caribbean arm of global consulting firm EY, recognized Scott for his leadership, strategic vision and significant contribution to business innovation and social growth on the island.
Beyond business success, Scott has been committed to social responsibility and community empowerment.
Philanthropic efforts
He is active in philanthropy through his company’s foundation, with a focus on education, food security, and community development. Thousands of people have benefited from scholarships, school lunch programs, and investments in STEAM education.
EOY serves as a platform to recognize and celebrate outstanding entrepreneurs who have demonstrated outstanding leadership and innovation in their respective fields. The Master category is determined by a panel of experts, and EY said Scott’s accomplishments, entrepreneurial spirit and passion for building Jamaica through global expansion earned him the esteemed title.
