Drawing on his extensive experience as a social entrepreneur, 35-year-old entrepreneur-turned-politician Gadam Vamsi Krishna is vocal about adopting environmentally friendly business approaches and promoting the use of green innovations. Mr. Vamsi is the son of Chennur MLA and former Peddapalli MP Gadam Vivekanand, who entered electoral politics with the aim of winning his first election from Peddapalli, the constituency that his grandfather, the late Gadam Venkataswamy, represented for four terms. advanced.

Mr. Vamsi graduated from Purdue University, USA in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science and Business Administration.

The young entrepreneur, who is joint managing director of Visaka Industries, launched the innovative ATUM solar roof in 2017. Integrated solar roof systems are an alternative to traditional retrofit solar systems. ATUM was patented in India in August 2020 and recently in South Africa and the United States.

He has another eco-friendly product. He developed his ATUM solar powered wheelbarrow, which provides both roof and power for business needs, to help low-income entrepreneurs with their daily expenses.

Social entrepreneurship holds the key to changing the lives of the poor, says Vamsi as he races to campaign in the vast constituency, which straddles the coal belt and is considered the industrial heart of Telangana. .
