Citing global trust issues in society and commerce, the Dean of Istanbul’s Faculty of Commerce stressed the importance of ethics for entrepreneurs and said following Islamic principles is the best way to address these challenges, including among young people. suggested that it was extremely important.
Mehmet Sebeci spoke at the headquarters of the Association of Independent Industrialists and Businessmen (MUSİAD), organized by the Yedi Hilal Association, of which Anadolu is a global communication partner.
Cebeci, who is also a member of YediHilal’s board of directors, said they have been organizing a trade school since 2018 and this year they hosted more than 2,500 young people, including 35 entrepreneurs.
“At the end of this two-day program, we will once again be joined by entrepreneurs. We support the idea that ethics are at the forefront for entrepreneurs. There is a trust issue in our society and the world. ” he said.
He stressed the importance of commerce and said there were trust issues, but they could be addressed if traders followed Islamic principles.
Sebeshi expressed his desire to seek more Muslim entrepreneurs, and revealed plans to organize a program with 35 entrepreneurs and participate in international events.
Sebesi said that starting next year, they aim to establish commercial partnerships abroad and mentor young people for export. Priority will be given to visa-free countries, potentially in South America and the Balkans, which will introduce new programs and boost overseas trade for young people.
