– An experienced entrepreneur, Kirsty is the former CEO of Oxford spin-out company Latent Logic, which was acquired by Waymo, the world’s leading autonomous driving company, in 2019.

Oxford, UK: April 18, 2024: Oxford Science Enterprise (OSE), an independent investment firm set up to create, fund and build innovative businesses through a unique partnership with the University of Oxford, today announced that Kirsty Lloyd Jewkes announced the appointment of Entrepreneur-in-Residence (EIR) with a focus on creation. of deep tech companies.

Kirsty has over 10 years’ experience in entrepreneurship across deep technology and consumer sectors, with expertise in business development and expansion, operations and financing. Kirsty was CEO of Latent Logic, a spin-out from Oxford University’s School of Computer Science that employs cutting-edge deep learning to accelerate the development and scale-out of self-driving car technology. Latent Logic was acquired in 2019 by Waymo, a subsidiary of Alphabet, the world’s leading self-driving technology company.

Kirsty is a mentor at the Creative Destruction Lab, a seed-stage incubator for scalable science and technology-based companies, and part-time director of the Institute of Directors, a business organization set up to support entrepreneurship in the UK. He was also a director.
