Inside News: Vaisala Announces Preliminary Net Sales for Q1 2024 and Reiterates Business Outlook for Full Year 2024
Vaisala’s preliminary net sales for the January to March 2024 period were €112 million (€132 million).
Market activity in the first quarter continued at the same level as in the second half of 2023, as originally expected. The industrial action in Finland and the simultaneous implementation of a new ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system had a negative impact on Vaisala’s first quarter net sales. First quarter operating results (EBIT) are expected to be significantly lower compared to the same period last year due to lower net sales.
Despite the weak first quarter, Vaisala reiterates its full-year 2024 guidance announced on February 14, 2024. Vaisala expects full-year 2024 net sales to be in the range of 530 million to 570 million euros. Results (EBIT) are expected to be in the range of EUR 63 million to EUR 78 million.
Vaisala plans to publish its interim report for the period January to March 2024 on May 3, 2024.
