Women’s health is the theme of the MedCity INVEST Healthcare Startup Pitch Contest track, which focuses on consumer/employer healthcare. The Pitch Perfect Contest is the centerpiece of the Boutique Healthcare Investor Conference scheduled for May 21-22 at the Ritz-Carlton in Chicago.

Space is limited, so register now.

Hosted by MedCity News Reporter Marissa Plescia, the Pitch Track judges include:

Carli Sapir, founding partner of Amboy Street Ventures. Her venture capital fund is dedicated to women’s health and sexual well-being for all genders.

Samir Batra is a managing partner at HIP, a venture capital fund focused solely on early-stage healthcare.

The six health tech companies selected for the competition are:

GoNo Food Finder is a health tech company that has developed an app with a recommendation engine. Scan product labels to determine which foods are good or bad for your personal medical condition and health goals. The app uses unbiased third-party peer-reviewed medical research to rate food ingredients and is delivered to businesses and consumers via API.

Coologix We have developed a medical device designed to treat vaginal yeast and bacterial infections. The device is inserted like a tampon and uses time-controlled cooling to treat infections, stop symptoms, promote the microbiome and pH, and destroy biofilms. Biofilms can make infections difficult to treat. The FDA recommends this device as a breakthrough Class II device. FDA approval requires extensive clinical trials.

Estringenex Therapeutics has developed and commercialized a first-in-class treatment that treats and prevents hot flashes and dementia in postmenopausal women without the risks of breast cancer and stroke associated with traditional hormone replacement therapy.

breast milk is the best Our mission is to bring more of the benefits of a mother’s own breast milk to preterm infants. To that end, the company is developing point-of-care breast milk concentrators designed to increase a mother’s ability to utilize her own breast milk. Use milk instead of other fortification processes.

Ai Noma uses deep technology and machine learning to develop a healthcare AI platform to analyze multimodal healthcare data and help clinical teams proactively identify risks and detect complications. The company’s flagship product targets maternal hemorrhage, a major cause of maternal mortality and morbidity. We are developing technology to monitor and detect excessive bleeding. This allows healthcare providers to intervene early and prevent complications, ultimately saving lives and reducing healthcare costs.

Maruma We address critical gaps in maternal health by providing personalized nutritional guidance throughout fertility, pregnancy, and beyond. Marma provides advice, recipes, symptom tracking, and an interactive community.
