The Delta Center for Economic Development (DCED) on the campus of Arkansas State University will host an entrepreneurship training series in April.
The three-part series begins April 11 with “Conversations with Paul Guess.” He is President and CEO of Guess and Company. Guess is an entrepreneur in his Delta state of Arkansas.
“He will share the story of the development of his company, based in the Arkansas Delta, and how it has contributed to his hometown of DeArk. Paul and his company are a shining example of entrepreneurship. ” said Dr. Cliff Jones, DCED Deputy Director.
On April 18, DCED will welcome Clint Vogus, a management lecturer in the Neil Griffin College of Business, who will lecture on “Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship.” With over 25 years of experience, his Vogus will support DCED in its consulting role for small businesses and startups.
The final session will be held on April 25th and the theme will be “Resources for Entrepreneurs.” There will be a panel discussion including representatives from the East Arkansas Planning and Development District, the Arkansas Small Business Technology Development Center and the Arkansas Capital Corporation.
“Learning from the successes of experienced entrepreneurs will provide important perspectives and insights on how to lead efforts in a changing world. Participants will be executives, professors, and entrepreneurship support professionals. It gives us a chance to interact with people,” Jones said.
