The Academy of Scientific Research and the Ministry of Youth and Sports announced the qualification of nine start-up companies for an incubation period in the first sports technology specialized business incubator.
The incubator received 87 ideas and startups, resulting in the qualification of 20 technology ideas in the pre-incubation stage.
Established in January 2024, the incubator aims to support start-ups in the field of sports technology with funding and support from the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, and in cooperation with the Ministry of Youth and Sports through the central government. Funding of up to 5 million Egyptian pounds will be provided. In collaboration with Nile University for youth empowerment.
87 idea owners and startups applied to the incubator, resulting in 20 technology ideas qualifying to participate in the pre-incubation training camp held at the incubator’s headquarters at the Nasr City Youth Center.
It is worth mentioning that the Sports Technology Incubator is the latest addition to the series of technology incubators within the Innovative Personal Business Incubator Program by the Academy’s Office of Innovation, Inventions and Development.
