Here are the full results from the thrilling qualifying session for the 2024 Monaco Grand Prix in Monte Carlo:
Q2
McLaren showed incredible pace in Q2, with Lando Norris setting the quickest time after Oscar Piastri set the fastest time in the final minutes of the session.
Norris set a time of 1:10.732 to beat Verstappen by just 0.013s as Red Bull began to show its usual pace after a lackluster weekend thus far.
Following behind the two most recent Grand Prix winners, Piastri finished third ahead of Leclerc, while Alpine driver Gasly produced a stunning lap to reach Q3.
Esteban Ocon failed to produce similar heroics, finishing in 11th place, with Haas’ Nico Hulkenberg in 12th place, ahead of RB’s Daniel Ricciardo.
Aston Martin’s Lance Stroll and Haas’ Kevin Magnussen were also eliminated in Q2.

The first part of qualifying at the tight and twisty Monte Carlo Circuit was one of the most difficult circuits throughout the Monaco Grand Prix weekend with traffic congestion playing a major role, so there was no surprise when the field lined up at the end of the pit lane to begin Q1.
On the first run, McLaren’s Oscar Piastri got ahead of Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton and George Russell, with Mercedes putting in a strong lead before Russell was quickest with a 1:11.492 lap.
In the final minute, Mercedes completed a one-two finish, with Hamilton in second place, 0.036 seconds behind Russell, and Charles Leclerc less than a tenth of a second behind the leader.
Miami Grand Prix winner Lando Norris left himself with no choice but to remain in the drop zone when the chequered flag waved, putting all the pressure on himself and risking an ill-timed yellow or red flag.
But Norris made good on the result, moving into the top ten on the final lap, but the same could not be said for Sergio Perez.
The Mexican driver had been unhappy with the handling of his Red Bull RB20 all weekend and was eliminated in 18th place when it came to serious pace. In another shock, Spaniard Fernando Alonso was unable to repeat his good form from Friday and was eliminated in 16th place.
Also eliminated was Williams’ Logan Sargent in 17th place, while Sauber’s Valtteri Bottas and Zhou Guanyu finished 19th and 20th respectively.
