Stock Market Sectors: Stock Market Update: FMCG Stocks Fall as Market Falls

NEW DELHI: FMCG stocks were trading lower as of 10:44 am on Thursday. Top gainers included Hatsun Agro Products Ltd. (up 5.48 per cent), Euro India Fresh Foods Ltd. (up 2.50 per cent), ADF Foods Ltd. (up 2.15 per cent), JHS Svendgaard Laboratories Ltd. (up 1.98 per cent), Hindustan Foods Ltd. (up 1.95 per cent), Dodla Dairy Ltd. (up 1.82 per cent), Nakoda Group Of Industries Ltd. (up 1.22 per cent), Mrs. Bectors Food Specialities Ltd. (up 1.21 per cent), Bikaji Foods International Ltd. (up 0.91 per cent) and Parag Milk Foods Ltd. (up 0.79 per cent).

Among the top losers were Zydus Wellness (down 2.21%), Sheetal Cool Products (down 1.69%), Colgate-Palmolive India (down 1.68%), Nestle India (down 1.50%), Umang Dairies (down 1.09%), Tata Consumer Products (down 0.78%), Patanjali Foods (down 0.63%), Dabur India (down 0.62%), Tasty Bites Eatables (down 0.62%) and Dhanji Dams (down 0.53%).

At around 10:44 am, the NSE Nifty50 index was trading at 24,260.1, down 64.36 points, while the 30-stock BSE Sensex was trading at 79,662.26, down 262.51 points.

Coal India (up 2.91%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation (up 1.59%), Tata Motors (up 1.49%), Grasim Industries (up 1.07%), HCL Technologies (up 0.92%), Tata Steel (up 0.84%), Tata Consultancy Services (up 0.72%), Adani Enterprises (up 0.65%), ITC (up 0.64%) and Asian Paints (up 0.6%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Nestle India (down 1.48%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries (down 1.41%), HDFC Bank (down 1.36%), Bajaj Auto (down 1.21%), Bajaj Finance (down 0.99%), Shriram Finance (down 0.85%), ICICI Bank (down 0.81%), Tata Consumer Products (down 0.8%), Cipla (down 0.8%) and Bharti Airtel (down 0.77%) were among the decliners.
