Global LED manufacturer INFiLED has launched its ArmorLED technology, which the company says sets a new standard for LED screen durability and reliability. The new technology boasts three to five times the thrust of standard LEDs, effectively reducing the risk of damage during operation, installation and transportation. INFiLED says ArmorLED technology achieves this through four key technologies: M2/M4 LEDs, Glued-On Electronics (GOE) process, Surface Mount Technology (SMT) process and optimized PCB pads, resulting in a more durable display solution.
M2/M4 LED: 2x pins, 2x intensity
While traditional LEDs typically have a four-pin configuration, INFiLED’s ArmorLED utilizes M2 and M4 package designs, increasing the pin count to more than eight pins, an enhancement that INFiLED says allows for a larger soldering area, significantly improving weld strength and doubling thrust force.

GOE Process: Seamlessly Bridge the Gaps for Superior LED Performance
INFiLED uses the GOE process to precisely address the issue of gaps between the LED and the PCB. The method uses advanced equipment to precisely control the amount and placement of adhesive, effectively eliminating gaps and strengthening the connection between the LED and the PCB. According to INFiLED, the robust adhesion provides added protection and maintains superior display quality.
With 15 years of manufacturing experience and extensive data analysis, INFiLED has refined its approach to SMT in three aspects: INFiLED’s expertise in stencil design, precise control of SMT reflow soldering temperatures, and the use of high-precision SMT equipment. This comprehensive strategy ensures the highest level of soldering reliability, according to the company.

PCB Pads: Optimized pad dimensions for stronger soldering connections
PCB pads facilitate the attachment of components to the PCB by soldering and play a vital role in the soldering quality of an LED. INFiLED carefully determines the optimal pad size to ensure a strong and durable bond between the LED and the PCB. This optimization significantly improves the overall stability and lifespan of the LED.
INFiLED’s ArmorLED technology increases durability and reliability by reducing LED damage and improving performance, while also reducing maintenance costs.
