The jury was expected to resume its verdict on Friday after Judge Juan Merchan told the court the jury would disband at 4:30 p.m.
Donald Trump said “thank you” to court officials and appeared more relaxed than he has been since jury selection.
After deliberating for nearly 12 hours over two days, the jury was informed they had reached a verdict and asked for 30 minutes to fill out some paperwork.

Trump’s response: Trump stared straight ahead through the verdict and when his motion for acquittal was denied. Frowning, the former president grabbed his son Eric’s hand for a quick handshake before walking out of the courtroom. Trump’s face was red, and both father and son looked shaken.
“We did nothing wrong. I am a completely innocent man,” Trump said.
Trump, who is considered the Republican presidential nominee, said of the general election, “The real verdict will be made by the American people on November 5th.”
