NEW YORK (AP) — Bob Dylan fans wanting to relive his memorable 1974 concert tour with The Band will soon have a chance to get most of it. Columbia Records and Legacy Recordings have announced a CD box set in September that will include complete recordings of 27 of the tour’s 40 shows. Definitely one for the completists, the box will feature 417 previously unreleased recordings, including some 21 versions of “Lay Lady Lay.” Dylan and his record company haven’t shied away from catering to the completist in his fanbase. The September box set will be his third largest.

Wow! Four endangered red wolf pups are ‘thriving’ since birth at Missouri wildlife refuge

ST. LOUIS (AP) — The world’s most endangered wolf species got a big boost this spring with the birth of four pups at a wildlife refuge in Missouri. A female red wolf pup named Otter was born April 26, followed by three more pups, Molly and her siblings Finn and Obi, on May 4. All four were born at the St. Louis Zoo’s Sears Lehman Jr. Wildlife Refuge, about 40 miles (64 kilometers) southwest of St. Louis. Zoo officials say all four are healthy and thriving. Only about 20 red wolves live in the wild. Another 290 wolves live in human care, including 17 at the St. Louis Zoo’s Wildlife Refuge.

Target will stop accepting personal checks starting next week. Could this payment method be nearing the end of its days?

NEW YORK (AP) — Target announced it will stop accepting personal checks from shoppers starting July 15. The Minneapolis-based discount store confirmed the move in a statement to The Associated Press on Tuesday, citing “extremely low” customer numbers writing checks. It’s another sign that a once-ubiquitous form of payment is going the same way as outdated methods like floppy disks and Rolodexes. Target said it remains focused on providing an easy and convenient checkout experience, including credit and debit cards, its “buy now, pay later” service and its Target Circle membership program. Target’s decision leaves Walmart, Macy’s and Kohl’s among the retailers that accept personal checks in their stores.

The group is also known for hits such as 1982’s “Bobby Sue.”

NHTSA launches recall investigation of 94,000 Jeep Wranglers amid continuing loss of power complaints

NEW YORK (AP) — The U.S. government’s auto safety agency is investigating a potential “loss of power” in more than 94,000 Jeep Wrangler 4xe vehicles after receiving complaints about vehicles not covered by a previous recall for an engine stall condition on the same SUV model. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said it opened a recall inquiry to evaluate the severity of the alleged defect as well as the effectiveness of remedies provided in a recall of some Jeep Wrangler 4xes announced in November 2022. According to NHTSA, the defect complaints involve both vehicles that already received remedies in this 2022 recall and vehicles that were not originally included.

Woman dies after receiving pig kidney transplant and heart pump

WASHINGTON (AP) — A woman who received a pig kidney transplant has died. Lisa Pisano received both a kidney and an implantable device that pumps her heart at NYU Langone Health in April. Heart medication damaged the pig kidney, forcing doctors to remove it after 47 days and return her to dialysis. She eventually entered hospice care and died Sunday, according to the hospital. A previous recipient of a pig kidney at Massachusetts General Hospital also died a few months later. Still, doctors are learning from these experimental surgeries and hope to begin clinical trials of the pig organs next year.

Lawyer calls social media influencer Andrew Tate and his brothers repeat tax evaders

LONDON (AP) — Police in England have charged social media influencer Andrew Tait and his brothers as repeat tax evaders in a civil trial in London. Devon and Cornwall police are seeking $3.6 million in unpaid tax on income from their online businesses from 2014 to 2022. The Tait brothers did not attend the hearing at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday. Lawyers for police say the brothers laundered the money by moving it between different bank accounts. Lawyers for the brothers say there was nothing unusual about the bank transfers. A judge is due to rule on the case in September.

Delta Air Lines and other airlines that don’t already operate flights have announced they will operate flights between the U.S. and Saudi Arabia

Delta Air Lines has signed a deal with a startup airline to operate flights between the United States and Saudi Arabia. Delta and Riyadh Air announced the partnership on Tuesday. Riyadh Air has ordered a number of planes but is not yet carrying passengers. The new airline is part of Saudi Arabia’s plan to diversify its oil-dependent economy and boost tourism. Delta Air Lines CEO Ed Bastian said many of the initial passengers will be from Saudi Arabia to the United States, but that will balance out over time as tourism to Saudi Arabia grows.

Novak Djokovic is using the “disrespect” of the Wimbledon crowd to fuel his quest for another title.

LONDON (AP) — Novak Djokovic is just one example of a superstar athlete who can find motivation wherever he is. Serena Williams, Michael Jordan and Tom Brady come to mind. For Djokovic, that motivation often comes from a crowd that is against him. At least, that’s what he perceives as being. At Wimbledon, the 24-time Grand Slam champion was convinced that the Centre Court crowd on Monday night sounded like they were booing his opponent by elongating the pronunciation of his last name. Djokovic took it personally. He protested the “disrespect” he saw as being directed at him.
